Project Overview and Challenge

This project was crafted as an entry for the Brewdog/British Airways Speedbird 100 Design Competition, offering the chance to design the next Brewdog beer can featured on all British Airways flights and available for purchase in stores. With complete creative freedom, our aim was to design a can that encapsulated the bold identity of Brewdog and the prestige of British Airways, creating a product that would resonate with both travelers and beer enthusiasts.

Creative Direction, Design, and Marketing Mockups

The design concept was inspired by the themes of travel, adventure, and the unique experience of enjoying a Brewdog beer at 35,000 feet. Blending aviation-inspired elements with Brewdog’s signature edgy style, the artwork features bold colors, dynamic lines, and subtle nods to British heritage. In addition to the can design, we created mockups for branding and marketing materials, showcasing how the new can would look in various in-flight and retail settings. These mockups included digital ads, in-flight magazine placements, and social media visuals, reinforcing the brand presence and engaging a wider audience.

Outcome and Vision for the Design

The final design captures the essence of the Speedbird 100 collaboration, aiming to create a memorable and visually striking can that stands out both on board and on store shelves. The branding and marketing mockups further illustrate the can’s potential impact across multiple channels, from the immersive in-flight experience to retail displays. This project demonstrates our ability to blend distinct brand identities and develop a cohesive, engaging design and marketing strategy that appeals across contexts and markets.
